A reservation is essentially a visit to your restaurant. It can either be a future visit (i.e. the conventional telephone reservation) or it can be immediate (i.e. someone who walks into your restaurant off of the street).

Using RCMS, you will be able to accept future reservations (similar to what you are likely doing now), and attach a customer to that reservation. You can also track the arrival time, seating time and departure time for the customer and using the reporting system you can analyze the data to determine exactly how many people you have had in the restaurant.

If you don't have access to a computer throughout the restaurant you can track the information manually and then enter it into the database later (we are considering a Pocket PC version that could be used on a wireless network throughout the restaurant).
